A Pop Garden Quilt
A while back I had made a yo-yo pillow using fabrics from Heather Bailey's Pop Garden collection which inspired me to make a coordinating quilt. I embarrassed to say that the top has bee constructed and sitting in my studio for a month or so now just waiting for backing and to be tied but I finally finished it up this weekend and here it is:
I just love this collection so much that I even purchased some of the coordinating papers from her scrapbooking line to make journals and checkbook covers (I will share those later)

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
This unexpected bundle of joy came with lots of fun BUT he also came with sleepless nights and multiple doctor appointments! And just when things were starting to calm down and it was time to focus on Christmas coming in just a few days we got a call from Christopher's mom asking us to come pick him up and take care of him from now on. So now we had a baby, two toddlers, a five and twelve year-old, company coming to town, Christmas baking to do, a formal dinner to plan, wrapping galore and needless to say my blogging life was pushed aside.
Now none of this is meant as a complaint. We are blessed to have the opportunity to help these little fellas and having them all here for Christmas was a wonderful gift. I do apologize for the belated Christmas wishes but I do want to wish you a Merry Christmas from our family to yours!

Holiday Hostess, Flirty Apron Swap
I finished up my formal apron for the Flirty Apron Swap's Holiday Hostess. Working with satin and organza was MUCH different from what I am used to but I was happy with the end result. My partner liked red and gold so that is what she got :o)
Now, just as a little insight to what a goob I can be......although the picture looks as if I am ready to entertain, truth be told I was sick as a dog yesterday so I had on no make-up, my hair up in a bun, and yoga pants on under the dress. Thank goodness for editing!

I am still kickin'
Where have I been you may wonder....well, my not so trusty laptop crashed and died and has been (and still is) sitting at the manufacturers waiting for a new motherboard. Since the other computer in the house is frustrating slow, I haven't made it upstairs for much more then checking my email....and a little shopping of course!
I have been keeping busy preparing samples for my upcoming class on paper crafting and have fallen in love with making these frames. This is one I made for my friend Kelli and I have five more in my garage waiting for a good use once the class is over.
If you have emailed me and have not heard back, please let me know! I have been a little cut off from the cyberworld and I did not mean to ignore you!

A Happy Halloween
Thought we'd share some of our Halloween Fun. We started with a spooktacular dinner of Mummy Dogs, Monster Mouths and of course, Brains.
Then we carved our pumpkins, Jonas designed and cut out the scarecrow one in front all by himself
I miss cute costumes, the older boys just want to be scary and strange

Preview of the years to come and Halloween Fun?
So, after Cooper's bath, I put on his diaper and went to grab some shorts and I come back to find him like this.....naked playing video games on the PSP.

Why does this feel so much like a glimpse into the future?
On another note, today was Chase's Halloween party at school. He is the scary looking Joker, I was overruled on that costume which I guess is bond to happen when there are 5 boys against one me in the house right now. The party was a whirlwind. I made homemade goo with the kids while my friend Kelli and I chased the two toddlers around!

Apron Swaps Galore
This is why I love swapping, look at this adorable apron I got from Marcel from the Hot Drinks for Hot Mama' Apron Swap. I have been friends with Marcel for awhile through Apronista so it made it even more special to receive one of her creations.
Now, here is my newest creation shipping out for the the Sweets for the Sweet Apron Swap. My partner loves country chic, french country so I had to go with a shabby chic patchwork version of Morgan Moore's Ruffled Apron. I hope she loves it as much as I do! Now, I am just awaiting my Holiday Apron Swap Partner so I can start a formal apron.....

It is adorable, perfectly sewn and the pocket which I tried to get a good pic of is darling. It came packed with lots of treats like herbal tea, a dish towel, coasters and even a tea strainer! Thanks SO much!
