All Play and No Work?

Well, not quite! I have been doing some work while I am up here. I finished up three new crayon apron designs that are so fun, colorful and girly. Unfortunately, I don't have that size mannequin here and the boys will not be my models (and rightfully so!) so you will have to wait a few days for those to be released.

I can show you the other colorway of our new ruffled dress and the tote I finished for the We The People Swap and I have to say I have a new found respect for beautiful bag designers like Suzanne .

At first, I just LOVED making this bag but once it came time to put the liner into the bag......it all went downhill from there. I hope my partner likes it as it was truly made with all three ....blood, sweat and tears.....but now it is done and I will stick to clothing and accessories!

Ohhh.....and how could I forget....pillows! Pillows, pillows, pillows. I am in the process of having my very own studio and made a few pillows for the decor and my new chair.

Our "Great American" Adventure

Today we had one of the best days! We went to Great America Theme Park in San Francisco and everything went smoothly. No lines, no yelling, no melt downs..........just a great day as a family (although my hubby being there would have made it better).

Usually I make my husband do "ride duty" when it comes to the roller coasters and loopty doop rides but in his absence, the job fell on me. After a few rides with my eyes closed and one heart felt prayer to let me survive (that was on the Grizzly ) I loosened up, opened my eyes and enjoyed feeling like a kid again. Ever since I became a Mom, I have had so much more to worry about losing and I have developed so many new fears (including heights) so it felt really good to push them aside for awhile!

Butterfly Kisses

My mom believes that butterflies carry kisses from Angels, we sure had a few today when we made a new friend on our way back from the pool...........

After we had fun gently playing with our new friend, we placed him in the monkey grass (he flew away later so I assure you no Swallowtail Butterflies were hurt in the process)

I'm Sailing Away.......

Today we went sailing on my parents sail boat out into the San Francisco Bay. Jonas and Chase loved it (Cooper was just along for the ride)! Jonas was at an age this year where he could really help Poppa with the docking and Chase was just happy to "drive"!

Cooper konked out in the cabin!

The Garlic Festival

Today was the BIG DAY, we went to the Gilroy Garlic Festival. There were garlic ornaments, garlic hats, a man in a garlic dress, garlic chocolate, garlic ice cream (yes, we are eating it in the picture, notice Chase's excitement on that one), garlic fries and just about everything garlic you could think of. Here are some pics from our adventurous day:

Oh MAMMA MIA

I have been an ABBA fan since I was in diapers. I did every gymnastic routine to Take a Chance on Me and I don't think I have ever been able to sit through Dancing Queen......I have to dance and I am NOT a dancer!

I have been soooooo excited about this movie coming out but had to wait until I had the perfect partner to go with, my Mom. This movie did NOT disappoint, I had to keep pushing my mom down and back into her seat and laugh while she tried to resist singing ever song (which she failed at terribly). Amanda Seyfried is amazing and Meryl Streep is obviously having the time of her life in this role!It was a great time, I'd see it again and again and again!!!

Making Ice Cream with Nana

I love making homemade ice cream almost as much as my kids do but admittedly, we have not done it in awhile. Enter Nana -to the rescue!

The older boys got to help with all of the steps:

This is how Cooper helped:

Then we waited for the best part, EATING IT!

We Are On Vacation!

Well the boys and I made it up to Gilroy in one piece.....and with the addition of my first speeding ticket in 15 years .....ugghh. We get to hang out with my parents for two weeks of fun- including the world famous Gilroy Garlic Festival which we have always talked about attending but are finally going to make it to! For those of you who don't know, Gilroy is the "Garlic Capital of the World" , check your garlic and it will most likely say it is from Gilroy. When you drive into Gilroy you can smell the garlic immediately and when it is festival time, it can be overwhelming! I will post some pictures after our extravaganza on Friday.....will I be brave enough to try garlic ice cream? You'll have to wait and see for now you can settle on this great picture of Cooper while we are unwinding after the seven hour drive!

My MAMA necklace

I have been meaning to post about this necklace so now seemed like the perfect time! I first saw this necklace on Sandi's blog and I just had to get one myself. It immediately has become my FAVORITE necklace to wear. The quality and beauty is amazing, This picture doesn't do it justice! Head on over to Lisa Leonard's Designs and check out her amazing work! I love everything about this necklace, down to the chain!

Here is a MUCH better picture Sandi took (her necklace is slightly different)

Wordless Wednesday-Cooper Behind Bars

This was a bike rack at the park we were playing Peek-a-Boo behind, I couldn't resist the photo op!
